Kidnapping: Police Arrest 6 Suspected Serial Abductors In Bauchi

According to Beatrice Gondyi of Leadership, the Police Command in Bauchi State has  arrested six persons in connection with a series of kidnappings in the state.
Police Public Relations Officer PPRO DSP Haruna Mohammed said that  the arrest is in order to rid the state of incessant cases of kidnappings which have become a great source of concern to the command.
He said  police detectives attached to the state anti-kidnapping unit led by ASP Mustapha Mohammed raided various hideouts of armed groups in Kibni, Mada and Kajut forests all in Bauchi/Ganjuwa LGA of Bauchi State and arrested the kidnappers.
He disclosed that those arrested include Ahmed Yusuf, male, 20, alias Dare of Mada village, in Bauchi LGA, Abdulhameed Abubakar, male, 20 of Dubur village in  Ganjuwa LGA, Saleh Haruna male, 18 of Kajitu in Bauchi LGA.
Others are Ahmadu Adamu, male, 21, alias Haro of Kajitu village Bauchi LGA, Usman Musa, male, 21 alias Maikudi of Mada village of Ganjuwa LGA and Ahmed Mohammed male,  20 of Ganjuwa LGA.
The PPRO revealed that all suspects confessed that they have organised series of kidnappings and collected ransom ranging from N50,000 to millions of naira from their victims.
