A 22-year-old Government Secondary School student, Idris Yakubu, drowned while swimming in a river, NAN reports.

Yakubu was then rushed to the General Hospital, Toro, where a medical doctor certified him dead.
Mr.
Mohammed said that corpse had been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary
pending a post-mortem after which it would be released to the family
for burial.
The police advised parents and
guardians to warn their children to stay away from streams or rivers in
order not to fall victims of drowning.
